About

Horton is a British artist whose practice is rooted in a deep fascination with the architecture of nature. Having spent years working in contemporary taxidermy, she developed an eye for anatomy and form. She has since shifted focus to celebrate organic textures through wood carving, creating sculptural woodware.

Despite this evolution, Horton maintains a connection to her roots and continues to include her popular taxidermy micro prawns and the occasional mummified octopus in her current body of work. These pieces are available from her website or via House of Bandits.

Her work has been featured in AnOther magazine, The New York Times, How To Spend It, Elephant, i-D, Evening Standard and others.

All specimens are strictly ethically sourced.
